Just A Phone Call Away  – 10:45am

A modern romance, telling the tale of a long-distance relationship, and the toll it takes on both partners.
When aspiring lawyer Luke moves away for his promotion, he leaves his girlfriend of 3 years Rosie with only phone calls and voice-mails to contact him.
It soon affects her work as a food-blogger, as she digresses during her web-posts about how she is being affected by Luke’s absence.
As communication becomes more fleeting, the couple have to fight through controversy and strife to keep their relationship stable; but is the distance just too far to handle?
Episode 1
Both Rosie and Luke struggle with the distance; and miss each other dearly.
But after Luke misses a meet up between them, Rosie goes out on the town to distract her… and then wakes up with a problem.
Now she needs Luke more than ever…

Now we can actually get down to editing, and make Just A Phone Call Away into the radio drama we’d always wanted.

Bit of a nightmare weekend for the production really; due to an unknown technological malfunction, all the audio was somehow corrupted on the hard drive it was stored on.
We’re all absolutely devastated; having been so excited after the recording was done – because the performances from our actors were simply brilliant.
Particularly for me (Phil), seeing my script come to life in such an amazing way was a great feeling – to lose it all is really gutting.

We are hoping to schedudle a re-recording, to make sure that this radio drama is still produced and heard as we hoped it would be. Fingers crossed, we will still have a finished piece to be able to give in (deadline extension being debated).

Not a great weekend, but we’ll soldier on.

Now just to get down to editing, and produce a finished product worthy of our fantastic actors and actresses’ performances!
